We provide three levels of HR service for you to choose the most appropriate for your needs. We recognise how important it is to offer flexibility to cater for the diverse landscape in education and the unique nature of each educational setting.
Our basic information and resources package provides you with access to a wide range of web-based, sector-specific policies, guidance, templates and other resources to save you time and effort, as well as keeping you informed and up to date with HR and employment law issues within an education context. Policies and documents are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they remain relevant and timely. Our web-only package costs just £499+VAT per annum.
Remote Services SLA
In addition to receiving our basic information and resources package via the website, our remote HR service provides unlimited telephone and email access to the highly experienced and knowledgeable HR advisers who work on our HR remote service desk. This remote service can also be enhanced to include additional hours of general consultancy support.
Comprehensive HR SLA
Our comprehensive HR SLA builds on the services provided through our website and remote services SLAs by additionally offering you support from a named HR consultant for complex, strategic and reactive people management issues, including on-site support, for a specified maximum number of hours in any year. When your named consultant is unavailable you will also have telephone access to an alternative HR consultant.
Our website-only package is available for an annual subscription fee of £499+VAT for up to two people at the same school or establishment (further users can be added to a subscription at a reduced cost). Pricing for most other services is based on the size of the school, college or multi academy trust. We understand that MATs vary in size, structure and internal resources, which mean off-the-shelf solutions do not always provide the support you need. We can therefore offer a flexible package, tailored to meet your Trust’s current priorities and pace of growth. HR support can be delivered to your central HR and business teams, directly to the schools in the MAT or a combination of the two. The balance of strategic and operational support can be determined by your requirements.
We have a wide range of knowledge and experience within our team, aligned with expertise in the education sector, enabling us to support you on an extensive spectrum of HR issues. Whatever the size and structure of your HR function we can provide the capacity and flexibility to manage peaks in workloads, as well as acting as an external critical friend to identify specific HR issues pertinent to your Trust.
Our off-the–shelf resources save you time and money and we can work alongside you to develop your own Trust-wide policies and procedures. Our regular updates and newsletters also ensure that you are kept up to date on Education HR issues.
Depending on the size of your MAT we can specifically allocate one or more consultants to provide consistency and continuity. Our electronic case management system also allows us to provide you with management information on the numbers and types of cases/queries across all your schools enabling us to work with you strategically to identify any areas of concern and agree actions to address them.
As well as practical, day-to-day HR advice and information, we can proactively work alongside the Trust’s senior leaders to ensure that strategic growth and development priorities can be delivered as effectively as possible. Particular areas where we can offer support include:

Our standalone DBS service is available on a pay-per-check basis, providing secure access to an online DBS processing system that is easy to use for applicants as well as managers and ID checkers. You do not have to purchase a core HR package to access this service. Clearance is completed far quicker than with paper forms and saves on postage costs, although paper forms are still available where applicants are unable to access a computer. We also provide users of our DBS services with guidance and advice on the use of the system as well as a full and thorough risk assessment process for positive disclosures. Registration for this service is free and prices are per DBS application.
A DBS Plus service is also available, offering - amongst other benefits - access to more wide-ranging pre-employment advice and web-based resources.
For those customers who purchase one of our Education HR SLAs we offer a range of supplementary SLAs provided by third party partner organisations which enable you to tailor your purchases to match the specific needs of your school or college.
