Earlier this week, agreement was reached on the NJC for Local Government Services (‘Green Book’) pay award for 2020-21, effective from 1st April 2020.
Further to our June update, the results of the unions’ ballots have been confirmed. Unite members voted to reject the pay offer; UNISON and GMB members voted to accept. The pay award will therefore now be implemented as a result of the collective majority.
As a reminder, the final pay offer was for 2.75% on all pay points and allowances in addition to a minimum annual leave increase from 21 to 22 days for employees with less than five years’ service.

GLPC rates of pay (London schools) have not yet been confirmed and will follow at a later date.
